Wabi is all set to bring millions of Chinese travellers to its ecosystem

Odakyu partnership is fully live, awaiting for the air travel to recover.

Taeltech has recently launched a dedicated zone on Taeltech Marketplace, featuring exclusive products from Odakyu Department Store, Tokyo Japan. The launch constitutes a culmination of the testing period that was running from May 2020 and was limited in scope in terms of categories, products and brands. The launch brings to market a far greater variety of product categories including cosmetics, baby care, lifestyle, as well as accessories, bags, and apparel.

The deal aims to offer Japanese manufacturers a trusted, secure, easy to use, and low-cost channel to bring their products to the China market.

On the Japan side, the Odakyu Department Store is leveraging its reputation with brands and consumers, many of whom are tourists from China, and product selection expertise to assemble a portfolio of brands that are poised to get traction with Chinese consumers.

On the China side, Taeltech provides a proprietary blockchain-powered anti-counterfeiting technology, consumer-facing e-commerce platform based on Wechat mini-app, marketing tools and data suite, as well as a blockchain-powered loyalty programme for consumers.

Through the dedicated zone on Taeltech Marketplace, the Odakyu Department Store aims to capture the hundreds of millions of Chinese tourists who pass through its Shinjuku Location every year, providing them with an opportunity to keep buying from Odakyu once they return to China as well as a significant number of Chinese consumers interested in quality and the  je ne sais quoi of Japanese products.

Japanese brands participating in the programme will have an opportunity to fully leverage marketing tools and unique behavioural data generated through the Taeltech ecosystem.

This opportunity is especially relevant for the new entrants or the existing players who are dissatisfied with sky rocketing marketing costs in crowded channels and who are forced to look for innovative marketing and highly precise targeting to reach out to receptive consumers.
